The Staff at CBSI is the best! These guys and gals work tirelessly to provide you, our student body, with the highest quality experience, studio, coaching and acting training in the city. Go ahead, meet them!
Coach Clay Banks: Head Coach, Owner and Founder!
Coach is a class act! Bold statement? Maybe… but that’s how we feel! But you might want to check him out for yourself. His accomplishments as a former Fortune 500 Motivational Speaker – National Instructor – Improv Director – Comedy Coach – Life Coach – Live Empowerment Coach – Business Coach and more…. will have you asking… “How’s he do it”? His profundity is eye opening as he carefully serves up his words so the listener can gain maximum benefit for their own self growth. He specializes in empowerment! Getting you to unlock the ultimate champion inside of you. Hasn’t really set in yet? Check out our testimonial page and you’ll see. Oh, and he also trains actors how to work professionally in films and television shows.
Coach Jack Stuart is a graduate of The Process. He’s studied under the direct leadership of Coach Banks for several meticulous years. Jack’s a well skilled actor with a special added gift… his profound ability to communicate writer’s intent. This gift has opened up a sensational opportunity, not only for Jack as one of our Full-Time Teachers and Coach of the CBSI Process, but also to coach you, the aspiring on-camera actor… that is if you’re fortunate enough to get in his class.
Coach Joe Abraham is a graduate of the CBSI Process. Joe is not only an amazing CBSI Coach, he’s also a working actor, writer, motivational speaker, and family man. As a writer, Joe and his wife Christine, co-authored The Thriving Artists. TTA is a groundbreaking book that teaches actors insider secrets for lifelong success in the industry as they master the demands of life, finances, and the career they so desire to achieve.
Richard Gilbert Hill is CBSI’s Resident Vocal Coach. Richard does private voice coaching for CBSI students as well as teaching weekly classes Voice and Breath and Muscularity. Richard has been a working actor since 1976, and has had a long career as a professional Coach with companies such as the Young Company at the Stratford Shakespearean Festival, the Academy of Radio Broadcasting, and Gordon Hunt and his Acting Workshop. He has Guest Starred on many television shows including Picket Fences, Chicago Hope, The Practice, Seventh Heaven, and Third Rock From the Sun. He is also a produced writer for television (Renegade, Highlander, The Perfect Nanny).
Lauren Schoepfer is the Operations Manager at CBSI and handles a lot the day to day administration that helps maintain a healthy creative environment in the studio. Lauren is a producer on LA’s Annual 1Minute Monologue Contest, an AD in the Friday Day Class, and a student in two others…so basically she is woven into the fabric of CBSI and if you need anything she probably the one who can help you. She is a California native and in the summers you’ll find her in a red bathing suit guarding the waters at Seal Beach. But her real passion is the performing arts and enjoys writing and developing juicy conflicted characters.
Allison Walter is the Social Media Director for CBSI. She handles studio promotion on social media, newsletters, the CBSI Blog, and our YouTube channel. Allison, along with her acting partner Leigh, also a student alum, are currently staring in their original Web-series, How To Live Without Experience. Allison’s been a student at CBSI since 2014. She’s a member of the CBSI Master Class, part of the Sr Alumni and is one of the fastest talking actors in town.
Meredith Meredith is our Instagram Ambassador and handles Studio Affairs. She heads up our social media accounts, @claybanksstudio, and helps coordinate operations that help keep the studio going. She’s just a young and energetic gal, a delightful actor, and a pretty darn fun person to hang out with and someone who’ll make you feel like you’ve known her your entire life. Part of the Sr Alumni team, you can catch Meredith at the studio throughout the week, so make sure to say “Hi” and follow her @heyitsmeredith!
Leanne Huffman is our Student Affairs Ninja. She’s responsible for answering student e-mails, completing special studio projects, and is the AD in the Friday Night class. This Senior Alumni student loves making people laugh and whipping out new and different dialects when she can. When she is not working her craft she is working on heads, as a hairstylist that is… and she’s pretty darn good at it. So if you have any studio questions Leanne might be the one at the other end of the Studio inbox eager to help. email@example.com
Camilla Therrien is Coach Bank’s assistant. She has a broad range of skills that allow her to solve problems that others can’t. Aside from being a wiz at ensuring you get that refund on your Amazon return or tinkering around with our website, she also puts the International in CBSI. She is from England and grew up in Dubai and thus has the coolest accent of anyone on the team. If you have visited our studio for a workshop or arranged a private coaching session you probably had a conversation on the the phone with Cam… and you probably didn’t want it to end because she is so sweet, kind, and totally fun to listen to. She’s lived in California for 7 years with her husband her adorable wrinkly pup Mr. Darcy. On the weekends she enjoys exploring new places to eat and hiking in the hills. And on the weekdays she’s CBSI secret weapon.
Danielle Argyros is an acting warrior! She loves, loves, loves to act! She flat out craves the heavy and often painful roles. A lot! So, to help balance her out… we put her in charge of our In-House Headshot Division, which we affectionately call Cheap Ass Headshots. As a service to The Studio (and because she’s actually very good at it), she shoots high-quality photo sessions that don’t break the bank. In fact… they don’t even touch the bank. Why? Because she’s an actor! An artist who just happens to have an eye for talent. Danielle recently wrote, produced, and starred in the original short film Day of Reckoning, directed by Emmy Award-winner Jeff Wolfe, also a CBSI Sr Alumni. Very cool stuff!
Jeromy Ramos too is a working actor. When he’s not on set, he’s out writing and shooting independent projects through his very own production company, Class A1 Productions. He’s young, ambitious and hungry! This is an amazingly fantastic thing! Why? Because he not only feeds off of his acting roles… but puts just as much energy into producing, shooting, and editing high-quality demo reels for our students and other actors. Jeromy’s been a student at CBSI since 2013 and is currently a member of the CBSI Master Class. He may look a bit young… that’s because he is… however, he’s still a proud member of the CBSI Sr Alumni!
Laura Grimaldi is the Executive Accountant for the Studio. She handles all taxes and business expenses and helps us to keep everything financially fair… for everyone! And, she’s really good at it! She’s so good that she’s able to keep the left side of her brain working numbers… while her right brain, (you know the creative side), continues to knock out acting jobs right and left. Ha! Look at that!
Aleida Lam is the longest running member of the team. On-board for over a decade, she’s our silent hero…a behind the scenes marvel if you will. As Sr. Scene Manager, it’s Aleida’s job to see that all of our actors have fresh copies of their scenes each and every week. CBSI is proud to supply our actors with a vast range of scenes from classic films and television shows (and some plays) of the the past and present, to the latest in cutting-edge new media and indie films. You may not ever get to meet Aleida, but just know she’s there for you!
